Church History
Kingswood Church has been ministering to generations of the community. The church was organized in October 1807 as Calvary Church, and was located a few miles southeast of its present location. Sometime between 1833 and 1836 Calvary was moved to the present site, and the name was changed to "Kingswood", being named for the King family that gave the land. The present santuary was constructed in 1888.

Fellowship gatherings that typically involve food-luncheons, suppers, Brunswick stew sales, movie night
The youth group, FIRE (Faith in Reaching Everyone), meets monthly at Rehoboth
Card making and crocheting events to benefit shut ins and missionaries
Seasonal musical programs: annual summer yard and book sale
Lending library of inspirational and secular books
Lakeland Charge Vacation Bible School is held at Rehoboth Church each summer
Missions
The United Methodist Women (UMW) raise funds to support a variety of missions and meet bi-monthly with uplifting programs.
The church is a sponsor of the Ray of Hope Food Pantry which serves as a supplementary food source for needy households in Bracey and La Crosse.
The church nurtures Mecklenburg House Nursing Home residents with periodic bingo parties, visits, and cards.
Kingswood supports foreighn and domestic missions through contributions to the Virginia United Methodist Conference and through UMW member pledges.
